Ezra Xenos joins HALAL as Executive Producer

International boost to commercial team

On the back of the agency’s recent appointment of Christel Hofstee as Head of Production, HALAL is bolstering its in-house team of producers with the recruitment of former Head of Production at Anomaly and Sid Lee, Ezra Xenos. Joining the company in the position of Executive Producer, Ezra brings in international experience in form of a nearly fifteen-year career, during which he has accumulated a wealth of experience working for some of the world’s leading brands, advertising agencies, and production companies. His credits run the gamut from feature films to award winning advertising, including celebrated campaigns for the likes of Nike, Adidas, Absolut Vodka, and ESPN.

Gijs Determeijer, Partner at Halal & Head of Business Development, comments:

“We are in a period of rapid growth and are expanding our global presence with clients based in the Netherlands, UK, Germany, France and the US. As part of this strategy we are expanding our in-house team of producers with international caliber. Appointing Christel Hofstee as Head of Productions earlier this year was step one, hiring Ezra Xenos is step two. We have previously worked with Ezra on various jobs and were always impressed by his knowledge of film and the industry at large, this guy knows everyone and everything. His international network and mindset makes Ezra essential for the company as we are taking more and more global steps. He will be highly involved in our strategy and business development the next couple of years. Watch. This. Space.”

Ezra adds:

“I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining Halal, a company I have followed keenly for many years, and have been really impressed by the quality of their work and their growth. It’s such an exciting time for our industry, and with the value of storytellers as high as it has ever been, it’s really exciting to be joining a company like Halal with a deep roster of talent at its disposal. They have done such a great job of positioning themselves in order to thrive in the ever evolving marketplace by consistently working with truly talented filmmakers and photographers. Talent that engages audiences everywhere, whether in the cinema, bookstore, gallery, on TV, or on their phone. In the end, people will always love to be told stories, and Halal is exceptionally good at that.”

The new hires herald the start of an exciting period of growth for HALAL Amsterdam, across all disciplines, to work on headline campaigns on a global level.
