Mea Dols de Jong selected in NRC's Culture Top 100
Mea joins the likes of Anton Corbijn and Viktor & Rolf in this annual Top 100 list
NRC just added our very own Mea Dols de Jong to their annual ‘Culture Top 100’, which is an impressive list of incredibly talented artists from various fields: Anton Corbijn, Arnon Grunberg, Cees Nooteboom, Iris van Herpen, Viktor & Rolf and Lernert & Sander are just some of the many household names included.
NRC wrote: “After If Mama Ain’t Happy, Nobody’s Happy (2014) was critically acclaimed at IDFA, Mea Dols de Jong (28) travelled around the world with her highly personal mother-daughter documentary, and received 15 awards for it in Tel Aviv, Sapporo, Huesca, Munich and Berlin. Earlier this year magazine Variety selected her as one of the ten ‘Europeans to watch’. Will she move onto her big love, feature films, next?” Nice little detail: in the top 100 only three people are younger then Mea.
We’re so very proud of this promising young lady!
