Mea Dols de Jong has just been named one of the “Top 10 Europeans to Watch” by Variety! The world famous American entertainment trade magazine has unveiled this list including Mea, throwing a spotlight on diverse talent across the continent.
“The group will be honored Feb. 13 at a reception hosted by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg at the upcoming Berlin Intl. Film Festival.”
If that weren’t enough, Variety interviewed Mea, the results of which can be seen online!
Mea received critical acclaim for her film “If Mama Ain’t Happy, Nobody’s Happy” which has won over 15 international awards so far. Amongst many, recently it has also won Slamdance Festival, which effectively made the film qualify and eligible for next year’s Oscars!
One of our favourite dutch newspapers, “de Volkskrant“, also spoke to Mea about this incredible honour and some other exciting future projects.
Save to say, we are immensely proud of Mea!
